Kajol, a winner of numerous film awards lent absolute support to her husband Ajay Devgn’s with regard to not working with Pakistani artistes.
As of now Devgn’s film
Shivaay is about to be released and this interestingly coincides with the
release of along with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, an effort of Karan Johar. Kajol's
husband was of the view that he is not troubled by the development that his
film will not be releasing in Pakistan. He felt that what was more important
was that they should stand by the nation. this month.
On the part of Kajol,
there was a total backing of her husband’s intent and related statement. She
went on to tweet “So proud of my husband for taking a non-political and absolutely
correct stand.”
And the hubby added
more to explain his position. Devgn categorically stated that he was not going
to share screen space with any Pakistani artiste for the time being.
“Not at the moment. I
am very clear on this because you are an Indian first. I don’t care if my film
doesn’t release in Pakistan. Their artistes are standing by their nation. They
are earning here but are sticking by their nation. We should learn from them,” he said.
With tensions between
India and Pakistan still not relenting, the Indian Motion Picture Producers
Association (IMPPA) resolved and through a resolution temporarily banned
Pakistani actors from working in India. The resolution was passed on September
29.
This resolution was passed subsequent to an announcement by
Indian nationalist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Through this action
the party warned all Pakistani artistes in India to leave the country.
Simultaneously the MNS also demanded a ban on Bollywood films featuring
Pakistani actors.
