Lisa
Haydon, a model with an
impeccable style, and also a Bollywood actress who has won critical praises for
her performances tied the knot with her year-old romance partner, Dino Lalvani,
son of the Pakistani born British entrepreneur, Gullu Lalvani. The wedding too
place in Thailand.
Daily News and
Analysis (DNA), the first English broadsheet daily in India, published a
feature on cross-border marriages and called Lisa’s new family ‘Pakistanis’
though they are Hindus too.
And add to the insult
they also carried quotes on how she was a misfit in the industry. More insult
was sprinkled with the remark that Bollywood would be willing to say goodbye to
her, post marriage.
Lisa Haydon,
who has already proved her worth as a model and actress did not digest the
feature and allied comments and chose to slam the article by tweeting:
“Lisa will happily bid
goodbye to Bollywood and Bollywood won’t mind saying goodbye to her".
Incidentally Lisa
Haydon has been recognized for her impeccable style and persona as a model. As
for her roles in movies, she has won accolades.
